Jesus Loves Porn-Addicts

Jesus loves porn addicts. Yes, it's true. This title is huge for me because I spent over 10 years believing that I was rejected by God every single time I missed the mark. When in fact, I was still a Mark that God accepted.

Could it be that God really accepts us when we SIN? He does. And this was a huge lesson for me on my road to overcoming porn addiction. Tony Litster, founder of the Cure the Craving program (which I highly recommend) said this:

"You don't strive to do good in order for God to accept you. You do so because He already accepts you."

This statement seriously shifted my way of thinking. From then on instead of being driven by my guilt and desire to work my way into God's group of accepted people, I started living knowing that He already loved and accepted me.

Christ already died for you. He did so because He loves you, as-is. You don't have to work for His love. The best part for me was realizing that I'm loved right this moment. This is true for you as well and I pray this truth changes the way you see yourself. If you see yourself the way He does, the outward will change. Your actions will start to reflect His acceptance of you.

I began to grow in new ways because guilt and shame were no longer burdening me. His love for me became my new burden.

Start asking God to help you see you as He does. In time you'll see yourself more and more from His lens. And you'll see what a powerful difference it makes in your battle with porn or any other sin struggle you've been in the ring with.
